
M-ERA.NET has launched the Call 2026 on 4 March 2026.
The Call 2026 aims to fund ambitious transnational research and innovation on advanced materials and adresses the following thematic areas:
Materials for energy storage and distribution systems
Materials for energy conversion
Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
Innovative functional materials with defined architectures
Materials addressing environmental challenges
Next generation materials for electronics
Transnational projects funded by M-ERA.NET are expected to contribute to the European Green Deal and to support the Sustainable Development Goals. They combine materials research with industrial needs by stimulating new products and production processes and will develop synergies that can be very effective in strengthening the European advanced materials ecosystem.
For the call, which will be carried out in two stages, first-stage applications will remain open until 12 May 2026 (12:00 noon Brussels time). Details regarding the national application procedures for the call will also be shared in the coming days.

The Call 2026 webinar will be held on 18 March 2026 from 12:00-14:00 CET. Participants will be provided with information about the M-ERA.NET network and details information on Call 2026 topics and procedures.
